APS Academy course offerings to agencies

The APS Academy offers a number of quality capability offerings to assist APS Agency's meet their learning and development requirements.

APS Academy courses support APS employees to build their APS Craft capability. Aligned with our learning approach, courses targeting various proficiency levels, support people to build their Craft knowledge as well as the APS Professions and APS People categories.

Course offerings available to agencies

The APS Academy also offers a range of free and paid courses to APS employees. There are a few types of facilitated courses delivery options available to agencies:

1. Mixed Agency delivery - a course available on the APS Academy calendar where individuals from across the APS can register for a course to meet their individual requirements. Individuals can self-serve and enrol into a course via APSLearn at any time.
2. Single Agency delivery - a course requested by an agency specifically delivered to their staff at a designated location or virtually via MS Teams. Single Agency delivery is particularly valuable when an agency wishes to address an identified capability gap.

Benefits of Single Agency Delivery

• The Academy manages the administrative process - bookings and scheduling facilitators.
• There is a set fee for delivery which may be more cost effective for agencies.
• Agencies are not required to undertake a procurement process.

Specialist Programs

The Academy also offers specialist programs that cover specialist topics targeted to SES and EL2 cohorts. Programs include Regulatory Practice Essentials, SES Data Leadership and SES Integrity Masterclass Series.

Learning Resource Toolkits

The APS Academy recognises that people are continuously learning through a combination of:
