Psychological Safety for Team Leaders
Psychological safety exists when there is interpersonal trust and mutual respect within the workplace, and staff feel free to express their views and contribute to discussions. Staff also feel they can make mistakes or take risks in their work without fear of judgement or humiliation.
Services Australia, in partnership with the Australian Public Service Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Unit, part of the Australian Public Service Commission, have developed a learning bite highlighting the importance of all staff and leadership fostering a Psychologically Safe workplace.
