Program: Commonwealth Procurement and Contract Management Training Suite
This program aims to build the procurement and contracting capabilities of the Australian Public Service as the Commonwealth seeks to deliver more strategic value for money outcomes when undertaking the purchase of goods and services. Increasing awareness and understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the Commonwealth Procurement Framework is vital to ensure compliance when committing and expending Commonwealth funds through procurement.

Suitable for
All staff. Suitable for officials who are new to procurement, may need a refresher, or who want to move to a role in procurement. It will benefit officials working in procurement on an ad hoc basis, regular procurers, and delegates.

Foundation level:
- Procurement and Contract Management Basics - Provides APS officials with an introduction to Commonwealth procurement and the fundamental knowledge and skills essential for contract management.
- Procurement Basics eLearning - Introduces APS officials to the steps in a typical Commonwealth procurement, key aspects and objectives, and the procurement obligations of APS officials.
- Procurement in Practice - Supports APS officials to plan and conduct procurement from phase 1-3 of the procurement lifecycle, using case studies and scenario-based simulations.
- Contract Management Basics eLearning - introduces the essentials of contract management, including the roles, tools, techniques, and methods contract managers use to add value.
- Procurement-connected Policies - Provides APS officials with a basic understanding of Procurement-connected Policies (PCPs) and their use in the procurement lifecycle.
- Procurement for SES Delegates - Provides APS SES with a high-level overview of the procurement framework and the specific role and responsibilities of SES delegates when making decisions and approving procurement activities.
Practitioner level:
- Applying CPR Exemptions and Conditions for Limited Tender - provides APS officials with information necessary for applying CPR Exemptions and Conditions for Limited Tender.
- Achieving value for money - Aims to build on APS officials' knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Framework and Procurement Lifecycle by focusing on the core rule of the CPRs – to achieve value for money in procurement.
