The APS Academy continues to be overwhelmed by the interest in the SES Orientation program. We recognise that this is a popular program that many newly promoted SES Band 1 executives are keen to attend. In response to feedback to accommodate more participants, the Academy has organised for another cohort of this program to run over November and December 2023. As this cohort is new, it does not appear on the Academy calendar, so if you would like to enrol one of your SES, or you would like workshop dates, please email the Executive Programs Team.
In addition to this, the Academy is pleased to advise that the 2024 course schedule will include a higher number of SES Orientation cohort sessions. We recognise the value that participants gain from this program – one of which includes the networking and social learning – and we understand how important is it that our leaders start their SES careers by developing the foundation capabilities and knowledge that APS leaders need to succeed and lead. So, watch this space… once the 2024 parliamentary sitting dates are finalised, the Academy will schedule cohorts and support you by having more of your SES complete this program.
