Program: Environmentally Sustainable Procurement Program

​Procurement is critical to our business. It is how we source the products and services we need to do our job and operate our workplaces.

​The Australian Government takes our responsibility to protect the environment seriously and that is why we have developed training to support you to make procurement decisions that are sustainable and are better for the environment.

​Did you know that nearly half of global greenhouse gas emissions stem from the creation and use of products and more than 70% of a product’s environmental impact is locked in at the design stage, before we, as customers even purchase it.

​Whether you’re new to environmentally sustainable procurement or you are a procurement official looking to upskill, this program is for you.

​This learning experience has been provided by Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water.
