Evaluation Profession Strategy
The Evaluation Profession Strategy sets out the plan to embed a culture of evaluation and continuous learning to underpin evidence-based policy and delivery. It outlines the vision, context, priorities and actions needed to build evaluation capability across the APS.
The strategy establishes how the Evaluation Profession will develop a professional pathway for public-sector evaluators, build evaluation awareness and technical ability and enable high-quality evidence to deliver better outcomes for all Australians.

Head of the Evaluation Profession
Co-Head Dr Shane Johnson, First Assistant Secretary of the Macroeconomic Analysis and Policy Division of Department of Treasury, and Co-Head Danielle Wood, Chair of the Productivity Commission promote the improvement of evaluation skills, support evidence-based policies, connect practitioners, and promote advanced evaluation approaches.
