During July, the Digital and Data Professions are hosting Innovation month 2024: ‘explore, engage and embrace’. There are a range of events occurring across the month and if you are not already a member of the Digital or Data Professions, sign up today.
How is your singing? Consider the Innovation Month - Bureauvision contest where you can create an AI generated song about the public sector / working in the bureaucracy.
What does ‘innovation’ mean at your agency? Register to find out more from this event, ‘Driving innovation in government: rising to the digital transformation challenge’. Simon Elisha, Chief Technologist from Amazon Web Services Public Sector will give you a better understanding of what can be done.
What is your understanding of the APS Reform agenda? Hear from senior leaders on ‘Reform in a time of transformation’. Rachel Bacon, Deputy Commissioner from the APSC; Professor Catherine Althaus from UNSW; and David Mackay, Deputy Secretary of the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts will share their insights.
Want to explore more about AI? What's next for AI in the public sector? – a session for you to hear from leaders in AI. Pia Andrews, Chief Data Officer, Home Affairs; Lucy Poole, General Manager, Digital Transformation Agency; Marek Rucinski, Deputy Commissioner, Australian Taxation Office; and Stela Solar from the National Centre for AI will all be on hand to step you through the changes.
Struggling to make innovation work? Making innovation stick will give you an opportunity to quiz experts on how they approach innovation. John Shepherd, First Assistant Secretary at the Department of Finance; Michael Schwager, Director General at IP Australia; and Dr Nina Terrey, Thinkplace Global will be in the spotlight for you to gain a new perspective.
