By Craft Learning, Curation and Design team at the APS Academy
We are excited to announce the publication of two newly redeveloped eLearn courses to APSLearn: Fraud and Corruption and Privacy Awareness. These are in addition to three previously published courses in the APS Foundations suite: Integrity in the APS, Records Management and Work, Health and Safety.
These courses have been completed with the generous collaboration and support of our partner agencies:
- The APSC Integrity, Performance and Employment Policy team (Integrity in the APS)
- The National Archives of Australia (Records Management)
- Comcare (Work, Health and Safety)
- The Attorney General’s Department and National Anti-Corruption Commission (Fraud and Corruption)
- Office of Australian Information Commissioner (Privacy Awareness).
Together, we have created new, modern learning experiences that recognise participant’s prior experience and allows for streamlined interaction and decreased completion time. Previously known as APS Essentials, the new suite will be identified as APS Foundations and is available free for all APS staff as part of their induction or annual mandatory training.
This is the final phase in the APS Induction Pathway, a response to Recommendation 24 of the Independent Review of the APS 2019. The Pathway enhances the induction experience in line with the APS Continuous Learning Model and APS Learning and Development Strategy.
Together, with the Induction Pathway, APS Companion digital magazine and live learning experience APS Unlocked, the APS Foundations courses provide the fundamental and essential information all staff need to begin and continue their career journey in the APS.
Participants can complete the APS Foundation courses, register for the free APS Unlocked session and access the APS Companion digital magazine on the APS Induction webpage.
