Cultivate a Continuous Learning culture with these conversation starters!
The APS Academy has prepared Continuous Learning conversation prompts to inspire and support a culture of continuous learning within your team and agency.
The purpose of these professional development discussion prompts is to encourage staff to:
- recognise when and where learning occurs
- explore and share learning opportunities, to learn through work tasks, people, resources and courses
- reflect on learning that has occurred and consider ways to apply learning in the workplace
- develop a learning mindset and learning agility
- embed a continuous learning culture in the APS.
Through thoughtful conversation and reflection about learning we aim to inspire staff to pursue opportunities and take charge of their learning journey. We aim to empower managers to build high-performing and engaged teams, instil a culture of continuous learning in the APS, and build a highly capable APS workforce.
These conversation starters are just that - a starting point to promote reflective conversations about developing continuous learning practices in your workplace.
