Have you heard of and registered for the Gender Equality Awareness Foundations eLearning course?
Available FREE to the APS for a limited time, this training package is designed to build the skills critical to Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB) in the Australian Public Service (APS). These skills are essential to undertake the gender analysis and Gender Impact Assessment (GIA) required to deliver on Government’s ambitious gender equality agenda, and critical to achieving the Working for Women: A Strategy for Gender Equality.
The training package is a one hour introduction to the concepts of gender and equality that underpin the analysis now required for all New Policy Proposals (NPPs) and Cabinet Submissions. This course will enhance your understanding of gender and equality, and identifies ways in which gender norms contribute to inequality in Australia. It includes live case studies, tailored content for the APS context and is suitable for all APS, EL and SES staff.
The course is recommended for policy officers as a priority, and everyone in the APS is encouraged to complete the course as part of general professional development.
