The Integrity of APS employees and agencies is central to building a high-performing and trusted public service. To embed integrity well, it is essential to not only apply the ‘rules’, but to know how to make decisions with integrity in a range of situations – this takes practice.
To help managers build team awareness in this field, the APS Academy has teamed up with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) to share their pivotal ‘ATO Integrity based group-discussion resources for leaders’ learning collection. The offerings raise awareness of internal fraud and corruption risks to promote a culture of high organisational integrity.
The learnings consist of a suite of outstanding self-serve activity-based resources designed to empower managers to confidently lead team-based integrity, fraud and corruption conversations.
The selection offers a range of topics with each containing a scenario, questions and answers to support managers in leading the discussion with confidence. Each activity brings each topic to life and aids in enhancing the capability of APS employees to identify and work through ethical challenges, develop the skills, knowledge and abilities to address integrity concerns and make sound decisions. They are bite sized, averaging between only 10-20 minutes to complete, meaning they are the perfect size to include in regular team meetings.
Learning outcomes are aimed at providing insights into what constitutes fraud and corruption, consequences of unethical behaviour and how to prevent, detect and report integrity concerns.
This suite of learning is free and easily accessible. Save and access these resources at any time that suits you and your team.
