MasterCraft Series - Governance Essentials

In this event, the Australian Institute of Company Directors share how governance enables authority to be exercised appropriately and for the people who exercise it to be held to account. Learn what their Corporate Governance Framework is and how it maps boardroom responsibilities, competencies and processes along with its applicability to the APS.
Presenter

Roslyn Jackson
As a Fellow Chartered Accountant with more than 30 years of experience and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia, Roslyn is a sought-after accounting and financial management consultant. She has held senior executive positions within the Australian Government and the private sector.
Roslyn’s expertise in Public Financial Management has taken her to Africa to advise central governments of developing countries. She is also a highly experienced trainer and facilitator who has presented throughout Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
She is passionate about educating company directors and improving governance and board value-add in the not-for-profit sector. Roslyn has facilitated, written and reviewed materials for the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) since 1995. Her expertise covers both public and private sector governance, risk and strategy and financial literacy.
As a Fellow of the AICD, Roslyn now leverages her 30 years of experience in non-executive director roles to give back to the community. She is an experienced Board and Audit Committee Chair who has held positions in the not-for-profit health and education sectors. She is currently Deputy Chair of Aspire 4 Life Ltd and Director of the Canberra Institute of Technology. She also chairs CIT’s Audit and Risk Committee, is Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee for the National Blood Authority and is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee for Cancer Australia.
