The Senior Executive Stewardship Program
A program that enhances the strategic leadership capability of SES Band 3s as stewards of the APS system, in a time of major accelerated change
The Senior Executive Stewardship program supports leaders to work together to drive stewardship and initiatives in a complex, challenging and dynamic public service environment, experiencing advances in technology, societal and geopolitical volatility and the changing expectations of our citizens.
This immersive program provides opportunities for participants to engage with their colleagues to explore the complex system in which they operate and their role within it. Together, the cohort considers challenges within the APS context as well as opportunities, to enable the cultural shift required at a time of unprecedented change and increasing expectations.
This program has been designed through a highly collaborative co-design approach with SES Band 3s, Agency Heads and Secretaries. Each iteration of the program is highly contextualised and tailored to the needs of the cohort and current operating environment.
This program is offered as part of holistic approach to Band 3 capability development.
Participation is via nomination by Portfolio Secretary.

Considerations
Participants will be nominated by their Portfolio Secretary. Once nominated, individuals will be contacted via email and asked to confirm their participation via an online form. When this is completed, participants will be automatically enrolled in sessions by the Executive Programs Team.
Travel arrangements are to be organised by the participant’s agency. Travel expenses are at the cost of the agency.
