Indigenous Procurement Policy

The primary purpose of the IPP is to stimulate Indigenous entrepreneurship, business and economic development. The IPP is driving Commonwealth procurement opportunities for Indigenous businesses and has driven behavioural change across the APS. It is also influencing the supply chains and workforces of our major suppliers.
This course provides procurement officials with an overview of the IPP, clarity around when requirements are mandated, and how to apply the IPP in a procurement activity.
This learning experience has been provided by the Department of Finance.

Suitable for
All staff. Suitable for officials who are new to procurement, need a refresher, or want to move to a role in procurement. This course will benefit officials working in procurement on an ad hoc basis, regular procurers, and delegates.
Considerations
- This course builds on the suite’s foundation courses.
- There is some assumed knowledge, including: Procurement Basics – Foundational knowledge of procurement legislation and policy, the procurement lifecycle, value for money, and reporting. This could be through the Procurement Basics course or through prior training or experience.
