APS Leadership Edge

APS Leadership Edge is a cohort-based social learning program which will enable EL 2's to develop their leadership and management skills through a range of learning sprints and activities. APS Leadership Edge is made up for four core learning sprints (Integrity & Psychological Safety, Adaptive Leadership, Stewardship and Good Work Design) which must be completed by attendees. They can also undertake 3 additional learning sprints (Ways of Working, Coaching & Mentoring, and Leadership Identity) if they wish, along with being provided with some group coaching and accessing APS Leadership Edge Community and all that entails.
The program will provide opportunities to embed learnings through practical application and expand professional networks across the APS through discussions in a large cohort and small group activities. By allowing the learners to engage with each other about their learning, we drive deeper connections with the content and more practical assistance in application. This results in learning that sticks.
This content has been provided by the APS Academy.

Considerations
- This program will be delivered virtually through Cahoot Learning. You will need to ensure the platform and email addresses are whitelisted by your agency.
- Program spans over 11 months. Each learning sprint requires 5-7 hours of learning time over a 2 week period.
- Virtual delivery offers flexibility for staff to complete courses from wherever and whenever it suits them and their work flow.
- Staff can register to take part in APS Leadership Edge with rolling enrolments open to 30 June 2025.
- The course closes on 12 December 2025.
- We recommend participants commit one hour a week into applied practice of learning within the workplace in between learning sprints.
- We encourage weekly check-ins and sharing your experiences with the cohort via the platform to drive deeper connections and retain learnings.
