ACCELERATE is a training program aimed at staff who deliver technical training, present information or facilitate the delivery of learning in a virtual environment.

The purpose of this ACCELERATE2Facilitate course is to provide participants with the opportunity to gain valuable skills and knowledge in facilitation techniques when delivering in a virtual environment.  

This learning experience has been provided by Services Australia. 

Important: This program provides techniques for delivering learning in a virtual environment.

Participant benefits 

  • Define the role of a facilitator. 
  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence skills and neuroscience concepts. 
  • Explore different communication and storytelling techniques. 
  • Prepare, develop and facilitate a virtual presentation. 
  • Evaluate presentations delivered and discuss improvement strategies. 
  • Explore self-care techniques. 

Suitable for 

APS 4 – SES Band 1 who facilitate training in a virtual environment according to a training plan and are not necessarily a subject matter expert. Their role is to facilitate the delivery of the learning/content (e.g. corporate learning, leadership programs).

Face-to-screen considerations

  • Prior to the session start date, it is suggested that you check if your agency’s network has any restrictions using any virtual classroom platform. If you are unable to access the virtual classroom platform on your work device or network, you will need to use a personal device.
