APS Foundations – new online learning courses now available
By the APS Academy Craft Learning, Curation and Design team
As a continuation of the APS Academy’s successful APS Induction project, we are excited to announce the next phase is now available. At the conclusion of April 2024, the Academy published new versions of APS Foundations courses on APSLearn: Integrity in the APS, Records Management and Work, Health and Safety.
In partnership with the APSC Integrity, Performance and Employment Policy team, the National Archives of Australia and Comcare we have created new, modern learning experiences. The new designs recognises participant’s prior experience and allows for streamlined interaction and a decreased completion time.
This is the fourth phase in the APS Induction Pathway which is developed in response to Recommendation 24 of the Independent Review of the APS 2019. The Pathway enhances the induction experience in line with the APS Continuous Learning Model and APS Learning and Development Strategy.
Together, with the APS Induction Pathway, APS Companion digital magazine and live learning experience APS Unlocked, the APS Foundations courses provide the fundamental and essential information all staff need to begin their career journey in the APS.
The courses are free and can be accessed via the APS Induction webpage.
The next session of APS Unlocked is 4 June 2024. Participants can register for the free APS Unlocked session, complete the APS Essentials modules and access the APS Companion digital magazine on the APS Induction webpage.
